PAIN
PAIN Nobody wants pain or even likes to talk about it. Yet, it is part of life. The reality of life brings contradictions and pain. In our human finite condition, we do experience pain through illness, and/or tragic events. Pain/suffering is universal. And how we react to pain will make us better or bitter...the choice is ours. We do need to remember that the pain is not a punishment from God whose love is unconditional and infinite. This blog is a direct result of my pain, my health condition. ( see my profile by clicking on the 3 short horizontal line top left of this blog. ) Years earlier, pain also led me to volunteering at the hospital.
The way of the soul, includes darkness. It is not an easy highway. On this road one is often thirsty, gritty, tired. One wishes to be Home but must wait 'til the travel is over. One must find courage, patience, trust to travel in the dark.
One has to surrender to Someone who knows the best way Home.
When pain or darkness is accepted it makes us grow and gives us peace for Spirit is always there, whether in darkness or in pain.
Unless we transmute (transform) our pain, we will transmit it to others.. Rolheiser
