MORE GOD MOMENTS

GOD MOMENTS       A friend visiting Mother Teresa in Calcutta and wanting to experience her work, was asked to wash a street person covered with sores. The friend hesitated since he was not even given sanitary gloves. However, much to his surprise and joy, the body he was washing became the body of Jesus Christ and the experience seemed timeless.
Now this friend sees the suffering Jesus in all the patients he comforts...what a life-transforming encounter!

That God moment reminds me of the words of Jesus 2K years ago:
WHATEVER YOU DO TO THE LEAST OF THEM, YOU DO IT TO ME....Matt 25:40
That same bible verse also brings to mind the experience I had when I first started volunteering at the hospital.
While sitting quietly in the chapel next to a life-size Pieta, I suddenly noticed the dangling arm/hand of the body of Jesus on Mary's lap. And the hand I saw, was the same hand I saw while visiting patients. It was for me a powerful God moment.

 By serving the poor , I am serving Him.  Mother Teresa

God intervenes in our lives in very real, very direct, very visible ways...causing a Course Change.

This is my last post to say __ FAREWELL  !!  According to Blogger, a blog is NOT deleted... JESUS, THE CHRIST TRINITY Why is Jesus called Jesus Christ? because Jesus is fully human and fully divine (paradox). How does Jesus fit into the triune God? Perhaps we can best see that in Jesus'prayer: THAT THEY MAY BE ONE AS YOU AND I FATHER ARE ONE... Granted we know that God is beyond gender but the term Abba/Father implies love, so Jesus becomes HIS unique beloved Son and the love we feel in our heart, is the Holy Spirit. Now we have Trinity called by Christians. Hinduism, the oldest religion calls it by different names: SAT, CHIT, ANANDA. TRINITY is one, universal, inclusive and a powerful reality.
