JESUS, THE CHRIST TRINITY Why is Jesus called Jesus Christ? because Jesus is fully human and fully divine (paradox). How does Jesus fit into the triune God? Perhaps we can best see that in Jesus'prayer: THAT THEY MAY BE ONE AS YOU AND I FATHER ARE ONE... Granted we know that God is beyond gender but the term Abba/Father implies love, so Jesus becomes HIS unique beloved Son and the love we feel in our heart, is the Holy Spirit. Now we have Trinity called by Christians. Hinduism, the oldest religion calls it by different names: SAT, CHIT, ANANDA. TRINITY is one, universal, inclusive and a powerful reality. We are invited to dance with the joyful relationship of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. SAT-CHIT-ANANDA, BEING-KNOWLEDGE-HAPPINESS, FATHER-SON-SPIRIT, TRUTH IS ONE AND UNIVERSAL. JESUS/YESHUA_ _> a man for all of humanity even if he lived 2K years ago. How is Jesus a man for all time and all people?...by the values he lived, values as relevant today as it was then. What are those values?...justice, equality, integrity. Jesus reminded the people often of the importance to change their mind and heart (repent) regarding riches/wealth, status, war, power, authority, regulations (see Leviticus). For the Jews, politics and religion were the same. Obeying the laws or the king meant obeying God. JESUS WAS NOT A PARTISAN, HE WANTED JUSTICE AND EQUALITY FOR ALL...THE RICH AND THE POOR...HE SOUGHT THE COMMON GOOD... JESUS was a universal person. He showed compassion to everyone and gave special attention to the poor and the oppressed. At times, he comforted by the wonder of miracles but always with humility. EVOLUTION   After reading three times THE UNBEARABLE WHOLENESS OF BEING by Ilia Delio OSF 2013, I now understand better "the God of love" expressing love at the Big Bang, through nature, through all of us, yet at a greater depth ...  Also now I understand better "God everywhere" and "Emmanuel" which literally means God-with-us.  Science/Evolution is for me a blessing...And this post is inspired from that reading. DIVINE REALITY...is  the Source of our God moments, Grace moments, Special moments. It is the Source of our unity, and our interspiritual activity. It is the Source of all life and it touches the heart of everyone. The essence of all faith traditions and of spiritual guides, honor the Divine Reality within, in others, in nature, everywhere and in every thing. Different words are used to express this Ultimate/Divine Reality:  GOD, ALLAH, YAHWEH (YHWH), LORD, THE ABSOLUTE/ULTIMATE REALITY, PRESENCE,  HIGHER POWER, LIGHT, SPIRIT,  CREATOR, BRAHMAN/ATMAN, the TAO, SACRED FIRE, OCEAN OF LIFE, VISHNU, TRUE SELF, CONSCIOUSNESS, BEING, I AM, UNIVERSAL LOVE... NOW WE KNOW that the nameless God has a thousand names or more*...Now we know that God is beyond gender and has both masculine and feminine attributes. Now we know that God is unconditional LOVE, unrestricted LIGHT, and everywhere LIFE. Now we know that all faith traditions teach prayer and love/compassion towards everyone. Now we know that if we accept and respect our differences, peace on Earth can be visible and even Mother Earth will sense it. Now we know that even Science is helping us understand our own reality.     After reading and reflecting on all faith traditions, one has to conclude that no faith tradition is perfect__none. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!! INCARNATION..... Most Christians think of Incarnation as the birth of Jesus which we celebrate December 25 as Christmas Day. For Christians, Jesus is Christ, Lord and also EMMANUEL which literally means GOD WITH US !! LOVE  is a gift to give and a gift to receive.   It expresses as understanding, kindness,  mindfulness and compassion. It is universal and it carries its own reward. THE MOTHER      We all have a biological mother and for many of us, she is already in Heaven. There is another Mother who lived 2 K years ago and who is the Mother of all; her name is Mary/Marie/Maria. We know very little about her but like most mothers, she is loving and caring. As the song goes, she is a gentle Mother giving wisdom, peace and joy. We know also that she was a woman of sorrows...who would not be seeing one's own son crucified...At a young age, she heard these prophetic words: A sword shall pierce you heart...  Lk 2:35 Years ago, I read that Gandhi had a picture of Mother Mary and of her son Jesus/Yeshua in his ashram... now, Gandhi was not an antique collector. Gandhiji ( as he is affectionately called by his followers) was a loving, universal soul, a Hindu saint honoring Jesus and Mary. Catholics needed a feminine face of God and that explains why they give great honor to Mary...and why not?...after all s...
